ISSDE was formed to help this group work effectively as a coherent professional design and development community.
The goals of the Society are:

October 7th–10th 2013, Lawrence Hall of Science, Berkeley, USA
This year’s conference, Inspiring Design, was named for its dual meaning. We will gather to share the inspirations for our educational designs and the designs that inspire us. Drawing on inspiration from within and outside the educational field, we will explore multiple avenues towards inspiration and the innovative designs it catalyzes.
The conference will take place from October 7-10, 2013 in Berkeley, California, USA. The venue for the conference will be the Lawrence Hall of Science at the University of California, Berkeley. Situated atop the hills overlooking the UC Berkeley Campus and the San Francisco Bay, the Lawrence Hall of Science is a picturesque and fitting venue for the focus of this conference. The conference will draw upon the intellectual, experiential, collaborative, and aesthetic opportunities for inspiration afforded by this location and the region it is a part of.
